Located on the western side of the Noto Peninsula in the Hakui distict, you’ll find Myoji-ji, a temple complex laden with historically important buildings. Several of the structures inside have been designated as such by the government and are subsequently protected. The home of the Nichiren Sect in Hokuriku, there’s plenty to enjoy inside, but the jewel in the crown is the spectacular five-story pagoda, the 34-metre-tall Goju-no-To.
